About Me
This picture of me was taken at the international Rainbow Gathering in 2000 at Tenterfield. I moved to Byron Bay in 1994 and had the happiest years of my life for the next 6 years or so until it became an open air shopping centre. I am still grieving for those years. You can look at my place on my web site www.myanimalvisits.com which is updated so now and then when I take more pictures. I do 4 markets every month, Byron, Mullumbimby, Bangalow, the Channon. I do massages and A4 peace activist posters which are received very well. The markets mean a great deal to me because it is still a family. The Channon is my favourite so close to Nimbin and I am on the management committee and I am their Public Officer, administer their web site and maintain their computers. By the way, it was a stall holder that directed me to your web site. I live on my own and sometimes miss my spiritual family who moved away to Nimbin Lismore etc. I have had 3 children of my own. I am so glad I found you, bless you all. May peace be with you and all the animals and the plants. Namaste. Oh, I am 78. Post a CommentOops! The words you entered did not match the given text. Namaste Naval,
So sorry for not welcoming you home much earlier than this. My wife, Angela and I see you at the markets often and I feel deeply honoured to have you join us here at The Wood. I also lived in Byron in the 1990's and used to rent a big old shed in Wollumbin Street that I set up as a drop in centre called The Byron Light Shed. Those were indeed wonderful times, holding Rainbow Gatherings under the Pandanus palms above Main Beach, etc. I also attended the World Gathering at Tenterfield, but like many others, ended up with a touch of dysentry! But it was a deeply moving (no pun intended!) and memorable event just the same. The vision behind The Wooded Way is simply for us all to share ideas and work together towards forming a large-scale, permanent Rainbow style community on lands that we source and pool funds to buy, then transform into a permaculture-based 'food forest' within which we live and build our haven groups. Basically, it is a choice to return to simple, clean living in a cash-free society where all the basic needs of life (healthy food, shelter, clean water, clean air, love and companionship) are provided freely by the community as a living unit within itself. We have a long way to go to realise this dream, but I have just leased a space in Lismore for holding meetings, and also have a couple of acres on my property at Larnook to turn into a Wooded Way gathering place. I will be posting an announcement here soon about our inaugural Wooded Way meeting (which will be in September). Much love and blessings always, Naval. Will come and say hi at the Channon this week. Once again, welcome home to The Wood, dear friend. |
